  1. THE BIBLE IN A YEAR
  2. “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”— Psalm 119:105

Regular Bible reading is one of the most important habits you can develop. That is why we are undertaking a church-wide “The Bible in a Year” plan for the next year! Each week, sermons and equipping classes and groups will all be aligned to the reading plan, which will guide us through the entirety of scripture in 365 days.

Read: You will receive or download a reading plan that Grace will be following through January. Each day’s reading includes a couple of chapters and a Psalm, allowing you to track the chronological, overarching story of the Bible in a year. Grace’s standard Bible version is the New International Version (NIV), but you are free to use a translation you prefer. If you worship online, and would like the documents mailed to you, please email Ramon Gahona

Worship: Sunday worship will track with the reading schedule for the next year. The sermon will use the scriptures you have been reading the week previous, allowing you to place the sermon text in its context and place within the biblical storyline. We will offer handouts from The Bible Project with an overview of the current book we are reading as well.

Study: In addition, all Sunday equipping hour classes, discipleship groups, and ongoing Bible studies will be following the reading plan timeline. All ages, elementary and up, will be following curriculum that will correspond to the study.

HERE you will find a multitude of resources to help you with the reading plan, including videos, podcasts, and articles to bring greater insight to what you have read. You will also find recaps and summaries of sections for times when you may fall behind.

We can’t wait to hear your stories of new insights and deepened faith that will surely come from time spent with God’s Word!

    EPIC COURSE
Throughout August, the Combined Adult Equipping Hour will be getting us ready for this adventure. Meeting at 11 a.m. in MT Fellowship Hall, this is a great chance to have your questions answered, learn a little more about what is in store, and find encouragement to take the plunge! Then on September 14, The Bible in a Year class will begin to meet. This class will meet together each week to discuss what we’ve been reading and support each other as we practice the daily reading of scripture together. We will be using videos and other resources from the BibleProject, and the class will be a discussion-based format facilitated by Grace pastors and staff. Let us know you are coming to the class by registering HERE.

  3. MINISTRY FAIR
  4. Step into the fall rhythm of Grace on September 7 with a special "Meet the Ministry Fair," right after worship on Sunday morning. It is a chance to see all the ways in which God is moving here at Grace. Bring a friend, neighbor, or coworker to show them what Grace has to offer! Enjoy some fun with bounce houses, games, and treats at this time to reconnect after summer travel, and hear the buzz around campus as we kick-off our ministry year!

In addition, Randall’s Pharmacy will be here from 9 a.m. until 12:15 p.m., in MT101 and MT102, giving vaccines for flu, covid, pneumonia, shingles, and TDAP (tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis). There is no need to pre-register--just drop by! Please also remember to bring your insurance card.

  5. BLOOD DRIVE FOR BENTLEY ROCKER
  6. Blood Drive for Bentley Rocker: Sunday, August 31, 12:30-5 p.m. in MT102 & MT103

Join us in supporting sweet Bentley Rocker, who urgently needs blood donations to help in his medical journey. Your donation could save Bentley’s life or the lives of others in critical need. Whether you’re a first-time donor or a regular, your generosity means the world. Every drop counts, and your act of kindness will mean the world to Bentley and his family. Please share this with friends and family to help spread the word. Hear Bentley's story from his mom in this video

Use THIS LINK to schedule you appointment, though walk-ins are welcomed.

GOOD NEWS OF THE WEEK

We celebrate the things that we have offered to God that are bearing fruit-- We celebrate what God is doing!

The Gators are back on campus! August 20 was a great first day and the halls of Grace School were filled with laughter, curiosity, and joy. A brand-new year means new friendships, new adventures, and countless opportunities to learn and grow. We are excited for another year of ministry and making memories together with Grace School!

Adult Equipping Hour classes are meeting together in MT Fellowship Hall at 11 a.m.

See you Sunday at 9:30 a.m.!

We often hear about “time” as one of the aspects of Generous Living. An easy way to contribute your time is to consider joining the team of ushers at Grace. This necessary service provides a rewarding opportunity to meet and greet the members of the family of Grace. Please reach out to Harold Silver (713-304-0436) or Richard Raines (281-658-8114) with questions or to express an interest in serving as an usher.
