Grace Weekly

  1. Grace Kids Music
  2. The Grace Kids Music program, affectionately called GKM, is a seasonal program designed for kids to tell the stories of Jesus through their eyes through music and theater. GKM is for children and students who love, or may be introduced to, the arts in grades K-12. Throughout the fall, weekly rehearsals culminate with a big program in worship in mid-December.

This year, the annual Christmas Musical performance is Sunday, December 10 at 9:30 a.m. during worship. For October-December rehearsals: GKM K-12 will meet on Sundays from October 8 through December 3, from noon-3 p.m. in MT-B and then move to the choir room. Dress rehearsal is Saturday, December 9. The cost is $50 and includes lunch each week and a T-shirt. Scholarships are available.

  3. A Grace Disguised
  4. Whoever thought that grief would be described as grace? Anyone that has suffered loss knows that processing grief is very difficult. Grace hosts A Grace Disguised class where participants will learn and share about the grief process, pray and enjoy fellowship together. This is a six-week class meeting Thursdays at 6 p.m. The class will begin October 12 and conclude November 16. The book, A Grace Disguised by Jerry Sittser, will be available for purchase for $15 when you register or on the first day of class. For more information, please contact Denise Phelps

  5. Get involved with Grace 812
  6. Grace812 gathers every Saturday evening in the Welcome Center from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Come as you are for community, diving into scripture, applying it to life, and experiencing small groups.

The Grace812 ministry is one that focuses on relationships. Relationship between God, ourselves, and others. The focus is discipleship. This world--engulfed with sin--is challenging at best, and for a Christian and person of faith, it can prove even more challenging. In that consistent barrage from the enemy, many find themselves hurt, confused, or lost. Grace812 is where we live in the unmerited gift of God's grace, introducing or reintroducing Jesus Christ to all with no judgments and condemnation.

One foundation to this ministry is to have the widest church front door people have experienced expressed through our hospitality. Come and attend. Come and welcome others. Come and bring others. Come and share your experience.

Practical help: a major part of the evening is sharing a meal. We would love to have you, your family, your small group, or even your business provide dinner on Saturday night! Contact Aaron Hansz for details--he will be thrilled to hear from you!

    Schedule:

    5:30 p.m. Community + Food + Music

    5:55 p.m. Grace812

7:30 p.m. Small groups and recovery meetings

You are welcome ANY time of the night!

Good News of the Week

We celebrate the things that we have offered to God that are bearing fruit— We celebrate what God is doing!

The Grace Chancel Choir defines the word community. They are a tight-knit, dedicated group and the joy they bring to worship is contagious. Under the enthusiastic leadership of director Franco Basili, the choir rehearses twice a month, usually on Wednesday evenings and sings several times a month in Sunday morning worship. They would love to have you join them, especially with the holidays coming up and a special evening in November.

On Saturday, November 4 at 5 p.m. in The Founders’ Chapel, Grace is excited to host an "All Saints Concert." Under Conductor Justin Langham, the Grace Chancel Choir is partnering with the choir from First United Methodist Church in Missouri City for an evening of beautiful choral music , scripture readings, and reflections.  Mark you calendar to be there for this uplifting evening. Better yet, lend your voice to the chorus and join the choir! Contact Stephanie Clarke for the next step.

WORSHIP THIS SUNDAY

If you are out of town or unable to join us for in-person worship this week, please join us online via livestream HERE

We will be continuing a new series for the fall focusing on Ephesians. This week's scripture is Ephesians 2:1-10.

There will be a brief congregational meeting Sunday, October 1, immediately following worship to meet and elect the new church deacons and elders, and any other necessary business matters.

Pastor Julia has posted a video recapping the updates to Grace's mission, vision, and values. You may watch it HERE.

After worship, you may continue to live out the rhythm of grace by sharing a meal with your friends. KP's Kitchen (8412 Interstate 10 Frontage Rd #350, in front of Home Depot) is offering 10% off your bill when you present your worship bulletin on Sunday! Great food and sharing life together, what could be better?
