Grace Weekly - Worship

The Next Right Step

And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

Hebrews 10:24-25

A note from Pastor Julia:

I hope this note finds you well and blessed and seeing God’s richest mercies in your life. I am praying for you and so grateful for your partnership in the kingdom work the Lord is doing here at Grace. We are learning and growing together, and doing our best to faithfully respond to God’s call in our lives. We are living differently, as we share the Gospel and our everyday lives.

During these next few weeks, we will continue to dig deeper into the Hebrews sermon series, looking at how together we can take the next right step and steward our whole lives in unity with Christ. To prepare our hearts for what the Lord will do, please continue reading through the book of Hebrews and meditating on the Scripture above.

We hope you will join us in prayer for the many ways God is working through the people of Grace and for the ways in which God is calling us to respond with our time, talent, treasure, relationships, and truth. As you pray and reflect on what it means for you respond to God’s invitation, ask yourself:

• Are you worshiping wholeheartedly every Sunday, embracing this time as a community of believers who come together to glorify God and form disciples?

• Are you being equipped through one of our EPIC courses after worship on Sunday, in Alpha, or in an age and stage class, so you can go out into the world and share the gospel and your everyday lives?

• Are you serving where God has called you in our church, city, and around the world as an outpouring of love for others because of Christ’s love for us?

• Are you being formed together within a group such as a disciple group or Bible study to strengthen your relationships in Christian community and grow in your faith?

You may make your pledge online HERE. In conjunction with The 5:10:5 Plan, if you are a current giver, we hope that you will go before the Lord to discern with God whether you are able to give 5% more this year. If you are taking your first steps into giving, we know this is a big step and are grateful for your support of the kingdom work here at Grace. We also hope all will go before the Lord to see whom you might invite to be a part of our church family.

Together, we will have the chance to take the next right step and respond to God’s call, as an act of worship in the coming weeks. We will submit our pledge cards either by mail, online, or in person, and will dedicate these offerings on Sunday, November 24 during worship. I hope you will be there for the joyous celebration, as we use these gifts to continue Christ’s work within our city and around the world.

If you'd like a glimpse of what that works looks like, I recommend that you look at the latest Impact Report HERE.

Blue Christmas

Sunday, December 1, 5 p.m., Founders’ Chapel

Grace invites you to a special holiday worship service designed for those for whom the holidays might be difficult. If you or someone you know have undergone a difficult loss, transition, or life change, the church cares about you and invites you to a special time of music, worship and reflection during the Advent season. The Lord calls us to care for others, especially during tender times. Be mindful of those around you and perhaps extend an invitation and offer to attend the worship service with them. What a blessing to be a blessing to others.

Christmas Poinsettia Dedications

In celebration of the Advent season, consider dedicating a poinsettia flower to remember or honor someone you love. Dedications will be accepted through Friday, December 13 and may be made online HERE. Flowers you have dedicated will be available for personal pick up after worship on Tuesday, December 24.

Grace812 Tuesdays

What is Grace812?
We are a community of people with a desire to establish a meaningful relationship with God, gathering to share a meal and conversation about our spiritual journey and learning how to live the life God intended for each of us!
