Grace Weekly - Worship

Lenten Prayer Vigil

As we enter into the final days of the Lenten season, we encourage you to join us in a 24-hour prayer vigil. Our goal would be to have at least one person praying for our world, community, and church from 8 p.m. on Good Friday on April 7 through 8 a.m, Easter Sunday, April 9.

Sign up for your spot HERE.

The Easter Vigil proclaims God’s victory over sin and death through Christ’s Resurrection. Join the Grace Family as we conclude the solemn period of Lent and prepare to rejoice in the Resurrection of Christ. This reproduces the experience of the disciples being asked to watch and pray with Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane the night before He was Crucified. We encourage you to sign up for a half hour and use this time to pray and meditate from home. This may be done as a solitary experience or along with family or friends. Some people spend this Holy Weekend thinking about the darkness and devastation of Good Friday and the pain of grief. Others spend it with a focus on hope and anticipated joy. Still, others take the opportunity to look back over the mission and ministry of Jesus and discover new ways to make Him visible in their own lives. Let the Spirit guide you.

Greatest Baker

We know we have some pretty fantastic bakers in our congregation! Whether you want to try out something new, or you have a tried-and-true, passed-down-for-generations recipe, we would love to enjoy your delicious treats on Easter morning! BUT, only one will be named Grace's Greatest Baker!

Some suggested items are: cinnamon rolls, cookies, treats, cake-pops, sweet breads, Grandma's cookies--you get the idea!

Sign up HERE

Then, on Saturday, April 8, from 1-5 p.m., bring two dozen of your treats to the Mother's Room in the Welcome Center at Grace. Please have your goodies on a platter or large plate to be served on Easter morning. You can choose to disclose what you are bringing in the comments, or keep it a surprise.

Best of luck to all!

Lenten Devotionals

Lent can be a beautifully reflective time for us to quiet our hearts, anticipate Christ's sacrifice for us, and embrace the hope that his death and resurrection represent. So what a joy it is to hear how Jesus is working in a variety of people in the congregation. You may share their personal reflections each morning in Lent through the Grace Lenten Devotional which will arrive in your inbox through Easter (if you are receiving the Grace Weekly email). We encourage you to make a little sacred space in the morning or any time of day to read God's Word and the insights of your fellow covenant partners.

You may view all the devotionals at one time HERE.

Grace812 meets every Saturday

GRACE812

The Gift. The Truth. The Path.

Gather: Every Saturday evening, Grace Presbyterian Church Welcome Center, 5:05-8:30 p.m. Come as you are for community, diving into scripture, applying it to life and experiencing small groups.

This ministry is one that focuses on relationships. Relationship between God, ourselves, and others. The focus is discipleship. Discipleship knowledge and training with an incorporation into daily life. A discipleship that leads to discipling others.

What’s behind the name: this ministry is called Grace812 presenting the gift of grace, a foundation on the beatitudes spoken by Jesus, and the use of the 12 Steps originally written by Bill Wilson in the 1930’s.

Our purpose: to shepherd those who want to grow in the faith, who are hurt, lost, and confused. This world, engulfed with sin, is challenging at best, and for a Christian and person of faith, it can prove even more challenging. In that consistent barrage from the enemy, many find themselves hurt, confused or lost.

The goal: Grace812 is where we live in the unmerited gift of God’s grace, introducing or reintroducing Jesus Christ to all with no judgments and condemnation. Grace812 exposes all that God has to offer and shows the freedom that Jesus paid for on the Cross.

Next step: One foundation to this ministry is to have the widest church front door people have experienced expressed through our hospitality. Come and attend. Come and welcome others Come and bring others. Come and share your experience.

Schedule:

5:30 p.m. Community + Food + Music

5:55 p.m. Grace812

7:30 p.m. Small groups and recovery meetings

You are welcome ANY time of the night!
