  1. PREACHER'S CLASS
  2. Each Sunday through the summer, during the Equipping Hour at 11 a.m., the preacher from the morning worship service will host a time to dive deeper into the Scripture text from the sermon. The class will be in the Sanctuary, so grab a coffee and enjoy some fellowship right after worship and then come back in at 11. It is a conversation-style class with lots of pondering, questions, and discoveries to equip the participants. If you are newer to Grace, the class is also an excellent opportunity to get into the rhythm of the Equipping Hour, as well as meet some new friends! See you at 11 a.m.!

  3. THE BIBLE IN A YEAR
  4. 2 Timothy 3:16 tells us, "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness". At Grace, the first of our Disciple-Shaping Values states that the Bible is the unrivaled authority for faith and life that intrigues, invites, challenges, calls and equips us for a transformed life with Jesus. We are people of the Word of God choosing to be rooted in biblical integrity in all that we say, do, and decide. Regular Bible reading is one of the most important habits you can develop. That is why we will be launching a church-wide "Read the Bible in a Year" plan this September! Each week, sermons and equipping classes and groups will all be aligned to the reading plan, which will guide us through the entirety of scripture in 365 days. We will be rolling out the reading plan and providing resources to help meet your reading goals through the next couple of months. We can't wait to hear your stories of new insights and deepened faith that will surely come from time spent with God's Word.

  5. SUMMER GIVING
  6. Your generosity is remarkable! Through May, giving at Grace has been up 12% over the same period last year. Summer is traditionally a slow time for collections, but a vibrant time in the life of the church with VBS and mission trips. Given this, we would like to encourage everyone in their giving this summer so we can finish our fiscal year well and enter into the fall in a strong position. The 2025 Collections Goal is $2,800,000, but remember that generous donors have offered a giving match of up to $300,000 for giving received above $2.8 million dollars in 2025.

Your generosity makes a significant impact in the life of the church: the people, places, and the ministries in which we serve and is deeply appreciated. You may present your gifts or set up a pledge online HERE. This is also the link to revise your pledge if you have been prayerfully reviewing The 5:10:5 Plan.

GOOD NEWS OF THE WEEK

We celebrate the things that we have offered to God that are bearing fruit-- We celebrate what God is doing!

With energy most of us only wish we had, our high school students finished a week of Vacation Bible School, rested a day or two, and left the following Sunday on the annual Student Summer Mission Trip! June 15-20 rising tenth graders through graduated seniors partnered with our good friends at Blueprint Ministries in San Antonio. Our team of 32 from Grace worked hard to repair homes in the San Antonio area, including lots of work on roofs in the Texas heat, blessing the homeowners greatly. But perhaps the more important work was building relationships with the people they served and the people they served alongside, including Blueprint Ministries, other church groups, and one other. You can see some of their work on the Grace Student Ministries Instagram page.
Next up: The Middle School Mission Trip, July 13-17!
