  1. WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDIES
  2. INSPIRE! Women's Bible Study: September 8 - November 17
Join us on Tuesday mornings or evenings for our fall study, Come and See: An Invitation to Know and Trust Jesus More Than Ever Before, by The Daily Grace Co. We live in a world that tries to convince us that life can be found in temporary pleasures. However, in the pages of the Gospel of John, we are invited to “come and see” and to believe in the only source of true life: Jesus Christ. Order the book using this link: Come and See: An Invitation to Know and Trust Jesus More Than Ever Before

Tuesday Mornings: We meet in the Founders' Chapel at 9:30 a.m. for worship and a short lecture followed by small groups, ending at 11:30 a.m. Childcare is available. Join us for lunch after our first meeting on September 8 (cost is $15, and childcare will be extended). Register HERE.

Tuesday Evenings: We meet in MT 201 from 6:45-8:45 p.m. for a short lecture and small groups. Register HERE.

  3. BE A MENTOR
  4. Grace Presbyterian, through Friends of Westchase, has long been committed to mentoring the children of the Westchase District. A new school year is underway, and we are looking for new faces to join our current volunteers. Anyone who is interested in this meaningful outreach should join the Volunteer Lunch and Training on Tuesday, September 22, at 11 a.m., immediately following Inspire Bible Study. We will meet in Massey-Tucker Hall. You may email Kristy Elmore for more information and to RSVP, at kelmore@gpch.org.

Mentoring builds meaningful connections between children and adults, fostering love, acceptance, and encouragement that positively impact school, home, and community life. Research links student mentoring to improved academic, social, and economic outcomes. Friends of Westchase unites schools, churches, businesses, and individuals to strengthen the community through relationships. School mentors spend about 30 minutes with elementary or middle school students, offering consistent support to those facing academic, behavioral, or home challenges. Training is provided with activities, talking points, and games to build connection.

GOOD NEWS OF THE WEEK

We celebrate the things that we have offered to God that are bearing fruit—We celebrate what God is doing!

Shout to the Lord! Praise Him for 150 years of Grace Presbyterian and good work He has done through His people here. This past Sunday was the birthday party and we celebrated with worship, a potluck lunch, games, a ministry fair, and a service project so that our neighbors can celebrate as well! It was an amazing day of reflecting on our past, and looking ahead to what God has in store for Grace in the coming years. Thanks to all who planned and set up the events, those who donated cake supplies, and to all who provided delicious food to fuel us through the day! If you missed it, check out the video review of the day HERE!

THE BIBLE IN A YEAR UPDATES

We are coming down the home stretch! Grace staff and covenant partners are reading right along with you! On Mondays - Thursdays, they share their thoughts, insights, and inspirations from the daily reading via video. It's a great place to go if you need a little reminder that you are not by yourself getting through the readings each week! The Word About The Word videos are posted on the Grace Presbyterian Church Facebook and Instagram pages each of those days, or you may access them HERE. You do not need a Facebook account to see the message.

HERE you will find a multitude of other resources to help you with the reading plan, including videos, podcasts, and articles to bring greater insight to what you have read. You will also find recaps and summaries of sections for times when you may fall behind. Keep up the good work!

WORSHIP THIS SUNDAY

If you are out of town or unable to be here to worship in-person this week, please join us online via the "Watch Online" link found HERE.

This Sunday we continue through the New Testament with the The Bible in a Year study, this week looking into 1 Peter 2:4-10. We will also have a Children at the Chancel time. See you at 9:30 a.m.
