- A GRACE DISGUISED CLASS
Whoever thought that grief would be described as grace? Anyone that has suffered loss knows that processing grief is very difficult. Grace hosts "A Grace Disguised" class where participants will learn and share about the grief process, pray and enjoy fellowship together. This is a six-week class meeting Thursdays at 6 p.m. in MT201 The class begins February 19. The book, A Grace Disguised by Jerry Sittser, will be available for purchase for $15 when you register or on the first day of class. Register HERE, or for more information, please contact Denise Phelps at dphelps@gpch.org.
- SATURDAY SERVE
February 7: Soup Serve Proverbs 27:9: "Sweet friendships refresh the soul and awaken our hearts with joy, for good friends are like the anointing oil that yields the fragrant incense of God's presence" Join us for Soup Serve! We are going to assemble a Friendship Soup Mix on Saturday, February 7, and then share soup mixes with the congregation on Sunday the 8th. We’ll ask the congregation to pick up a mix and take it out to bless someone that afternoon! February 14: Ronald McDonald House Please make plans to join us for a special day of serving with the Ronald McDonald House Houston! On February 14, 2026, we will gather at Grace at 9 a.m. and travel together to the Ronald McDonald House to serve a special Valentine's Day Brunch to families with children receiving medical care in the Texas Medical Center and staying at the Ronald McDonald House. We hope to return around 1 pm. We will be preparing brunch and then staying to serve and fellowship with families! We have limited spaces, and due to health considerations, this project is open to anyone 18 and older. Please register HERE.
GOOD NEWS OF THE WEEK
We celebrate the things that we have offered to God that are bearing fruit-- We celebrate what God is doing! It is no secret that the COVID shutdowns of 2020 wreaked havoc with much of the country, churches included. Attendance dropped and did not return to pre-COVID levels. But today we are celebrating that Grace Student Ministries currently has more students registered for the 2026 high school mission trip than they did in 2019. This is the first time that sign-ups have surpassed a pre-COVID number! These mission trips would not be possible without your generous support each year, especially through the annual Lunch is Served program! We're so excited that you'll be joining us for lunch after the service on Sunday, February 22!
Student Sunday is when students take over all of worship, leading our congregation in a joyful noise and gathering in honor of our God. After the service, the students help hold a lunch/auction that funds our summer mission trips. As our students and volunteers take care of the lunch prep, you can peruse and bid on our silent auction items, such as trips, themed baskets, and dinner nights. You can even sign up for one of our fun party opportunities and play our exciting raffle games! See more details and let us know that you will be on hand for lunch by registering HERE.
THE BIBLE IN A YEAR UPDATES
Whether you are catching up or looking to dive a little deeper into a daily reading, the Word About The Word video is a great resource to find some insights. Grace Covenant Partners and staff give a 3-4 minute video four times a week on the Grace Facebook and Instagram pages. You can find the links HERE. HERE you will find a multitude of other resources to help you with the reading plan, including videos, podcasts, and articles to bring greater insight to what you have read. You will also find recaps and summaries of sections for times when you may fall behind. Keep up the good work!
