Our Lower School Grace Gators Were on Fire with Reading Counts! 🔥🏆🐊
Our third through fifth grade students have shown incredible dedication to reading through the Reading Counts program! This initiative encourages students to read books and take comprehension quizzes to earn points based on their understanding. Their commitment to this program has truly paid off. Together, they took 4,550 quizzes, read over 62 MILLION words, and earned a whopping 21,444 points.
Here’s how it works: Students select books at their reading level, dive into the stories, and then complete quizzes to test their comprehension. Each successful quiz earns them points, which accumulate over time, leading to exciting milestones and recognition.
A special shoutout to our top readers who have gone above and beyond:
🥇Evelyn B.- fifth grade: 1,237 points
🥈Leighton B.- fifth grade: 1,222 points
🥉Andrew S.- fourth grade: 1,184 points
These students have spent countless hours immersing themselves in books, demonstrating not only their reading skills but also their love for learning and perseverance.

This year’s publishing party was a true “Love Story” as we celebrated the talents of our young authors and illustrators! Every student at Grace Lower School is now a published author, stepping into their own “Wildest Dreams” and showing that they have a “Blank Space” ready to be filled with creativity and passion.
From heartfelt personal narratives to detailed explorations of animal life and habitats, our students have proven that they have stories worth telling and artwork worth sharing.
We’re so proud to be in our “Writing Era,” where each student’s voice is heard, and their imaginations are given the freedom to soar. Here’s to the incredible journey of our young authors and the many more stories to come!
